Ask the Psychic: Am I having a spiritual awakening?

DEAR BONNIE: I am a pharmacist. I’m not religious, and I never believed in any of this stuff. But I have been having experiences that are not making sense to me. I seem to have a heightened sense of knowing when people are lying to me, and I can tell when someone is texting me on the phone whether they are telling the truth or not. I often sense the hidden meaning of what they are writing to me. I can pick up the feelings of objects by holding them in my hand. Sometimes my body starts to tingle all over like crazy, and it’s been getting much stronger over the last few months since this all started. My interest has changed, and I am keenly interested in things I never really cared about. I can’t watch TV, and it’s been overwhelming me for some time. I am at a loss, so I am writing to you. — Mark
DEAR MARK: It sounds like you are having a spiritual awakening. That might sound scary, but it truly is your higher self which is the very best of you. It lives inside of you, awakening to the fact that there is more in the world than you have ever known, and you are getting a heads up that there is more to life than just facts and figures. Your mind has probably been used to being more analytical because of your work and stronger than the creative side of your brain.
We are all born with psychic senses, and yours seem to be awakening and getting stronger. Claircognizance is a psychic sense of true knowing — you know something, but you don’t know how you know it. It’s very common in men, and it’s a great tool when you need to know if something is going to work out or not, like yours working when you want to know if someone is telling the truth or not and their reason for asking you.
Psychometry is the ability to pick up the energy of objects from holding them in your hands. Everything is energy, and energy is in all things living or objects. Your psychic senses are becoming more attuned to the world around you. The tingling you are experiencing is spirit letting you know when you are on track; it happens to me as a medium when I am delivering a message, and the loved one on the other side wants me to know I am spot on, and this is important information that I need to deliver.
When people are experiencing a spiritual awakening, the things that seem to mean so much to them maybe are not so important. The activities that you might have found interesting are replaced with new interests and are going to take your soul to new levels of awareness so you can grow on your earthly journey.
I would ask you to acknowledge these new abilities of feeling energy and looking at the world from a different perspective. Try taking some classes like taking a reiki course that works with your psychic centers called the chakras or a class on psychic-senses called the Clair’s. Clearly seeing, hearing, and feeling. Knowing how your psychic senses work and how to make them stronger so they become important tools in your everyday life and your soul’s journey.
